মনে হচ্ছে বর্তমান মুখ্য নির্বাচন কমিশনার (সিইসি) জ্ঞানেশ কুমার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছেন যে তাঁর পূর্বসূরিরা— সে সুকুমার সেনের মতো কিংবদন্তি হোক বা টি এন শেষন— সকলের কাজই ‘ভুল’ ছিল, তিনিই এক ‘স্পেশাল ইনটেনসিভ রিভিশন’ (বিশেষ নিবিড় সংশোধন) অভিযান করে সব শুধরে দেবেন। তাঁর ফরমান হল— সমুদ্র খালি করে সব মাছ গোনা হোক, সৃষ্ট চাপে ও দমবন্ধ অবস্থায় কত মাছ মরে গেল সে দিকে তোয়াক্কা না করেই।

Many in West Bengal are still pinching themselves from the 4th of last month to believe that they are actually in a Bharatiya Janata Party ruled state – something that was unthinkable until it really happened.
